Roberta Ackom, CNM, CRNP-OBGYN is a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner with a background in maternal health and education. Her training and professional development have included experience in a range of clinical settings, from major military medical centers to hospitals serving underserved communities in the U.S. Virgin Islands. These experiences have strengthened her ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Roberta’s foundation in midwifery began in labor and delivery, where she developed a deep appreciation for teamwork, adaptability, and supporting patients through meaningful moments in their health journeys. She is committed to helping patients feel heard, informed, and respected while navigating their individual care needs.
In addition to clinical practice, Roberta has had the opportunity to guide future healthcare providers as they transition from classroom learning to real-world patient care. She values education as an important part of strengthening the next generation of healthcare professionals.
As a first-generation Ghanaian American who was born in the United States and partially raised in Ghana, Roberta brings a meaningful cultural perspective to her work and the way she connects with patients and community members.
Outside of the office, Roberta enjoys traveling, dancing to Afrobeats, discovering new foods, spending time with loved ones, and getting lost in a good book. She is honored to be part of the care team and looks forward to supporting patients throughout their women’s health and wellness journeys.
